in honor of my mother.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, but mostly, to mine.

Mothers are the ones that teach us how to be the women we grow up to be, and I am so lucky to have the most beautiful role model of life. My mom makes parenting look easy, and she does it with such grace, and kindness, I could only hope to be half the woman she is when I grow up.

My mom makes me laugh, supports me in all of my decisions, no matter how unrealistic they seem, believes in me when I don't have the strength to believe in myself and loves me unconditionally, even when I know it's not an easy task.

Since I can't be with her today, I wish her the happiest mother's day full of love and happiness.

I love you Mama, and I am thinking of you all day. And always. Thanks for everything!

stuck in the middle with you.

I've been pretty bored with my hair lately. Aside from a few drastic changes this year, such as going from platinum blonde, to sultry brunette and a brief tango with fringe bangs, I wouldn't exactly call my self the adventurous type when it comes to my hair. I love the length. It's getting so long now I can pretty much do anything with it, and I don't want any crazy style so I've taken to wearing a center part for the last few days. It's a drastic enough change for me, and it's nice to finally experience life through both eyes, instead of my usual "brittany bangs" as my friends so nicely nicknamed my drastic side part.

I don't know if it will be a permanent change, but so far I'm enjoying having a bit of a different look.
