As a short girl, I have always been drawn to the highest heels imaginable, and this season is no exception. I am LOVING the wedges that have been popping up in all the stores, and on the runways. They give you the height, plus the added bonus of making your legs look like they go on for days. Something, that I have always strived for. Plus, the solid wedge heel gives you much more stability than mile high stilettos, which means you can wear them to run errands and not have to worry about sacrificing your feet for fashion. I recently picked up an adorable pair at Winners for only $30, and I can't get enough of them. They are perfect for summer. Here a few more styles that I love:
1. Proenza Schouler, $1620.
2. Topshop- Addison Wedge Ankle Boot, $160
3. Jeffery Campbell- Mary Roks Suede Platform Boots, in black $150
4. Cuiouo- Patchwork T-Strap, $690
5. L.A.M.B.-Vogul Natural Leather, $345
6. Aldo-Nemets, $125
7. Jeffery Campbell-Mary Roks, in Nude, $120
8. Steve Madden- Tuscaan Sandal, $90

recipe for a dance party.
As you may have guessed by reading this blog, I am a huge fan of the dance party! Whether I be pre-gamin with the girls before a night out on the town, cooking dinner alone in my kitchen, or drinking champagne from the bottle in Ayla's room on a Sunday afternoon, the dance party has become a staple of fun in my life.
What better way to mix two of my favorite things, music and laughter into one fun-filled activity!
Tools for the best dance party:
1. Playlist is everything: Good Vibrations-Marky Mark, Billie Jean- MJ, I Gotta Feeling- BEP, Memories- David Guetta, anything by Beach Boys, Don't Stop Believing-Journey, Sweet Caroline-Neil Diamond, Maneater-Hall & Oates. These are some of my personal dance party favorites, but of course the list goes on and on.
2. Champagne or wine: although every dance party (or any party for that matter), is made instantly better by alcoholic beverage, it is not a must. I have been known to OWN the d-floor completely sober. At any time of day.
3. Rage shades: for those of you who have never heard of these, you have been missing out. These magical sunglasses turn the wearer into the king/queen of the dance floor the minute they put them on. They make you unable to control yourself and turn you into a dance party maniac!
I have to say, that an impromptu dance party when I least expect it, is the best way to brighten even the worst of days. It's the best way to have fun and feel good, with your friends or by yourself!
Dance on.

'maxi'mum benefit.
There is something so effortlessly chic about maxi dresses. I think it is the ease in which they can switch from day to night, with very little work. Paired with a jean jacket and gladiator sandals for beach days, picnics in the park or afternoon shopping, they can easily make the transition to evening wear by adding a strappy heel and some statement jewellery. When it's stifling hot, it's comforting to know that the flowy, light material of these dresses are just within reach. Plus, I love the laid back, bohemian vibe they give off, even in a more formal environment. Although I will always love a good mini dress, I am definitely looking forward to introducing a couple cute maxi dresses into my wardrobe for summer.
Here are a few dresses I love, some in my price range, and others not so much.
1. Winter Kate, $230
2. Nefertiti (net-a-porter.com), $520
3. net-a-porter.com, brand unknown, $460
4. Halston, $1195
5. Forever 21, Pocket Front Maxi dress, $25
6. Topshop, Meadow Print Maxi Dress, $190
7. Topshop, Pin Tuck and Lace Maxi Dress, $160
8. Victoria's Secret, Ruffled Maxi Dress, $78
9. Old Navy, Floral Chiffon Tube Maxi Dress, $20.

daddy dear, you know you're still number one, but girls, they wanna have fuuuuuuuuun.
i'm pretty sure 'funnest' is the only word that can appropriately sum up the awesomeness that was this moment.
nothing screams fashion statement, quite like matching smiles, minnie mouse hats, and summer tans.
and nothing beats reliving all of your wildest childhood fantasies with your grown up best friends, in the most magical place on earth.
god help the girl.
thirteen reasons why i suck:
my visa statements are always a very unfriendly number.
i quit my job, without finding a replacement one first: this was stupid.
i eat too much candy.
i drink too much coffee.
my hair is too long, and too ratty. it needs to be cut, but i get seperation anxiety...
i give boys my phone number, even when i don't really want them to call me. why?
i need to read more. smart books, not fluffy chick-lit.
i am really bad at tennis. which is a shame, because the outfits are really cute.
"we live like we're ballin", says ayla white. problem is, we're not.
sometimes i get grumpy for no reason.
i sometimes eat adam's food when he's not home. it's fun, trying to be sneaky.
i eat all the popcorn before the previews are over. and i always pick out the buttery pieces, before anyone else can get to them.
i bite my fingernails way too short, and they look like little boy hands.
on the upside, my mommy is coming to visit in eight days and she thinks i'm pretty awesome!
also the champagne dance party i had with ayla and charms the other day has had me laughing and smiling ever since! nothing like busting out classic 90's pop and chugging champagne straight from the bottle, to make you feel like a superstar when the whole world is telling you, you're otherwise.
